What happens in a session?
A Reiki session is very relaxing and calming. The client will lay comfortably on top of the massage table (fully clothed) and the practitioner will begin at the top of the head. Mainly, the practitioner does not touch the physical body, but will hover their hands a foot or so above the body. The practitioner will work down the front of the body, at each chakra point. After completing the root chakra (at the base of the spine, the client is asked to roll onto his/her stomach if this is comfortable. The practitioner will then continue the session by applying the Reiki energy on the chakras down the back. The treatment is completed by grounding the energies at the hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
*The client will have received a full and complete session that is appropriate for their needs. Please speak to the Practitioner to discuss and specific areas of injury or need.*
How will I feel after my treatment?
For most people, a Reiki session will leave the client feeling tired, peaceful and calm. As your body detoxifies and integrates the energy over the next few days, the client may experience some side effects such as a runny nose. These are minor and will last only a few days.
How often should I have a Reiki treatment?
Please speak to your practitioner for advice on how frequently to receive a reiki session as it is as individual and unique as the person receiving the treatment.
